Do you put temporary holds on a date or vehicle?
No. The only way we guarantee a date is if the client meets the booking requirements(see next question) and the vehicle is still available. That being said, we will try our best to notify you if someone else is about to book, but can offer no guarantees.
What do you require to reserve your services?
Airport Transfers Only : A credit card on file is all we require.
Everything else : We require a credit card on file, signed Terms and Conditions, and a 50% booking fee to hold your date/time slot. If your service date is within 30 days, full payment is required.
How are vehicles reserved? Do you require a minimum hourly rental?
Our vehicles are rented in (3) ways. Point to Point, Hourly, and Multi-Day. Most local services will fall under Point to Point or Hourly.
Point to Point - Flat rate transportation going from Point A to B. Passengers are provided a 15 minute grace period to load. This type of service is available with our Sedans, SUVs, and Sprinter Vans.
Hourly - A Time based reservation. It allows you the flexibility of unlimited load time, unlimited stops, and the chauffeur and vehicle are available for the full time period reserved. All vehicles can be rented this way however there may be minimum hourly requirements depending on the vehicle.
Multi-Day - Also called an Over the Road trip. This refers to charters that require a chauffeur to stay overnight in another city. Commonly used with our motorcoaches for school field trips, althletic teams, church groups, and tours.
Are there any additional fees or fuel surcharges?
Beyond our quoted price, if you are paying with a credit cards there is a 4% additional fee. To avoid this, you may pay by check or Venmo.
What happens if we need extra time during service?
Point to Point Service : Your are provided a 15 minute grace period to load. Beyond that time frame, you are billed in 15 minute blocks at the following rates : Sedans/Suvs :$30 , Vans $50 . Additional stops are provided at the same rates and include an additional 15 minutes per stop.
Hourly Service : In the event that you run past your allotted time, you are billed in 15 minute increments. This starts at the first minute of each 15 minute increment and is billed as follows : Sedans/SUVs $30, Vans $50, Vintage Cars $75, Vintage Buses/Motorcoaches $90.
Can we bring coolers or strollers onto our vehicle?
No. Large items such as coolers, strollers, etc must be stored in the trunk or storage areas of vehicles but are not allowed on the interior of the vehicles. Please make sure to inform your guests about this.
**NOTE : VINTAGE BUSES DO NOT HAVE STORAGE AVAILABLE**
If you'd like to provide drinks during your trip, drink packages may be pre-purchased prior to your booking. Please ask one of our sales coordinators for more details.
Do we need to tip our chauffeur?
Your chauffeur carries a large responsibility of safely transporting those who matter most. Tipping is customary in our line of work but not mandatory. We’ve found that most clients tend to give a tip ranging from 10-20%.
Do all vehicles have air conditioning?
No. Most of our antiques are kept original. If this is important to you please inquire to which vehicles come equipped with this feature.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Venmo (@LowcountryValet), credit cards (with a 4% processing fee added), and checks/money orders.
If I need extra time, can I pay my chauffeur and have them deliver payment to you?
All payments are handled by our office staff. Any payments given to our chauffeurs are considered tips and are non-refundable.
I noticed a $1 charge from LV on my bank statement, what is that for?
When signing our Terms and Conditions, you are asked to provide a credit card to keep on file as a prerequisite to using our services. Our system preauthorizes the card for $1.00 however this should drop off your bank statement within 7 days or less.
Where/who do I mail my check or money order to?

How soon is my payment due after signing the Terms & Conditions?
Credit Card - If you have selected this method, you will be billed as soon as confirmation of your new reservation(s) is sent.
Venmo - You will have 48 hours to submit payment to us. If payment isn't received, we will bill the credit card on file for the amount due.
Check - If you have selected this method, you will have 7 days to have your check to us. If your check isn't received by this time, we will bill the credit card on file for the amount due.
I need to cancel, postpone or reduce services. What are my options?
Airport Transfers Only: We have a 24 hr cancellation policy. Anything cancelled outside of this may do so penalty free.
Cancelling/Postponing - Under our terms and conditions that are signed when reserving our services, you will owe 50% of your current balance or the total of any payments made, whichever is more. If you owe a balance and are less than 30 days from your service date, LV is entitled to collect the remaining balance.
Reduction of Services - there are no refunds for unused time or reductions of services and time cannot be transferred to separate reservations.
I have a complaint & would like to discuss a refund.
All complaints must be submitted via email to our staff within 48 hours of services rendered.
Help, there's a hurricane coming! What do I do?
Don't sweat it! If a hurricane disrupts your service, you will be given a credit on your account that is good for up to 1 year from your original service date.
Do you provide services outside of the Charleston area?
Yes! In fact, we provide a substantial amount of service in all areas of GA, NC, and SC. We've even travelled to Miami and the Hamptons before! For any trips that require our chauffeurs to be on the road for more than 10 hours, we ask that meals and lodging are provided to them.
